On July 14th 2007, The Model car Mafia set out on their first model car adventure together.  We were off to the Western Scale Classic in Fullerton, California presented by Herb Deeks.  We made a few stops on the day before the WSC and met up with some of our new friends from the Kitbasher's of Southern California.
First stop was Pegasus Hobbies.  After an hour there and some serious money dropped, we were off to meet some of the Kitbashers at the NHRA Museum.  The following day, we were off to the WSC.  There, we met up with more SoCal friends...bumped into a few from back home, and made a bunch of new ones.  It was a ton of fun and we will be back next year.

Da Mafia first stop in from Phoenix. In the parking lot of Pegasus Hobbies.

Pegasus is quite the hobby shop. But the thing that got our attention (and MONEY) was the aftermarket. We are very starved for this stuff in the Valley fo the Sun.
Coming through the front door. There were cases filled with all kinds of diecast race cars. it was like a museum.
On into the BUSINESS end of the model car section. We found what we came for. The wall of aftermarket. As you can see from Frank's face. It was more then we could have imagened.

If the walls full of detail parts were not enough. Frank and Gregg found that there was MORE under the counters in boxes to go through. Joe, the model car specialest, was more then helpful to us. THANKS JOE!!
Drew got behind the counter and got into the walls of detail parts. His pile grew from there.
Oh Yeah...There were model kits, too!
...then they were gone...
